In this clip we will be presenting the tools necessary to accomplish a basic man's haircut.
We have several different shears that we'll be choosing from, all coming in different
lengths. This is the six inch blade which will be used for cutting the longer parts
of the hair where we're going to be using continuous motion throughout. The smaller
shears the four and one half inches these are used around the ears and the areas where
we need a little more precision and a little more control over the tool. The next tool
that we'll be using are texturizers, and these are kind of an updated version of a thinning
shear and what this allows is to remove a little bit of the bulk without creating any
lines of demarcation or just to put pattern in the hair, rather than actually truly thinning
it out. The last tool that we'll be using is a trimmer or a pair of clippers and we'll
be using this both without the guard to shape up the neckline and then we'll also be using
a selection of guards to alter the length that the hair ends up as we run the clippers
through. The very last thing that we may use then is a razor, the razor comes with a guard
to protect and it can be used also to texturize and thin the hair.
