This is Nigel Gregory, with Blue Griffin Handyman. Today, we're going to cover the different
types of glue that are available for various projects. There's an array of different adhesives
on the market; some for construction, for crafts, for landscaping, just about anything,
adhering mirrors to walls. Anything and everything you can think of; pretty much there's a an
adhesive available for it. What you want to, really want to think about is the tensile
strength of what, of the materials you're working with; how much pressure's going to
be exerted on the two pieces of material you're bonding. For instance, if it's a construction
application, you may need some, a glue that, it has a really high adhesive ability. Liquid
Nails makes a great construction adhesive. I believe it's called P & L makes another
one. So, you can find these types of glues for construction at the hardware store. Many
of the craft stores, like Michael's or Hobby Lobby carries some of the craftlike glues.
Also, think about what kind of, are are you going to see; is it glass to glass that you're
you're gluing? You might want something clear, and for smaller projects. So, think about
the conditions. Is it inside or outside. Is it something that's going to bear a lot of
weight, or is it something small like a a watch or something. But think about all of
these things, and read on the, on the front of the the package of the glue that you're
looking at. It may say for metal, or for wood, or for construction, or or good for wet locations,
or outdoor locations, or landscaping blocks. So keep all of of these things in in mind
when you're looking for the right kind of glue for your project. And that's how to choose
the right kind of glue. Thanks.
