SHANNON>>Hi, this is Shannon from WDWPrepSchool.com and today we are going to talk about how you
know which Disney park tickets to purchase.
I know that there are a lot of options and there are a lot of different things to consider.
However, if price is your only consideration, then you should just stop the video now and
go buy the Base tickets because those are the cheapest and there's no reason to consider
any of the other add-ons.
In order to determine which park tickets you should get, you need to first plan out your
daily plan. If you're on WDWPrepSchool.com, at the top of the website it says "Step 3:
Daily Plan" and that allows you... or asks you to every day of your trip, decide which
park you're gonna be at or which water park or miniature golf or whatever it is and so
after you have your daily plan, then you can figure out your park tickets.
So the first add-on, and there are 3 total. You can add on 1 or 3, any combination that
you want.
The first add-on is Park Hopper. And by purchasing the Park Hopper option, in addition to the
Base tickets, you will be able to go into multiple parks a day. If you just have the
Base tickets, you go into one park and that's it. You can't buy, ummm, a 10 day Base ticket
and then use multiple Base tickets to go into different parks, if that makes sense. You
can't go into Magic Kingdom with 1 Base ticket and then go into EPCOT with another Base ticket.
You have to have a Hopper. So if your daily plan dictates you be in more than one park
in a day, you'll need the Hopper in order to do that.
Another option you have is called the Water Park... I have to read it cuz it's long...
Water Parks Fun and More, which is the longest name for tickets I've ever heard of, but Water
Parks Fun and More is I think about $55 more to add it on and, with it you get for the
same number of days tickets you buy... let's say you buy 7 days tickets, you get 7 entries
into the water parks, miniature golf, golf, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports. And,
let's say, using the 7 as our number, 7 extra things can all be done in one day. So you
could go to both water parks, you could go to DisneyQuest, you could go miniature golf.
YOu know, realistically you're not gonna do all in one day but my point is that those
extra tickets that you get with this Water Parks Fun and More option can be used however
you want. The price to add on this option to your tickets is roughly the same price
as entrance to a water park alone, so financially it probably make sense if you plan to go into
one of the water parks. You'll have to do the math on some of the other things because,
it may or may not work out for you but in general if you plan to do any of those things,
I would suggest adding on the Water Parks Fun and More.
The 3rd option is the No Expiration option. Normally your tickets expire 14 days after
you first use them but by doing No Expiration, you can come back so let's say you plan 2
visits to Disney World, each one are 5 days. You could get the 10 day Base Ticket with
No Expiration and you could use the 5 in split sessions. However, at that point it might
make sense to just go ahead and get the Annual Pass which I think is a little bit less money
and you can also get some discounts with your Annual Pass.
I hope that's helpful in choosing your park tickets. For more information on Disney planning,
