Hi, this is Shiloe with Style United.
Today I'm gonna show you how to make your eyes appear wider.
Typically when an individual has close-set eyes, it means that
they have less than an eye width in between both of their eyes.
So what we want to do is we can widen it by applying reflective
or lighter eyeshadows in between and also contouring
and accentuating the natural part of the eye.
I have my model, Emma, here and we'll go ahead and get started.
What I want to show you first is how to take care of your eyes
before applying your makeup.
With Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller, not only does it
have anti-aging benefits, but it comes with a little ball,
you just pump the liquid serum out, roll it onto the eye,
take your ring finger, gently massage it into the eye.
It reduces puffiness and dark circles for a more brighter,
youthful looking eye.
So now I'm gonna show you eyeshadow.
What I'm first gonna start using is the CoverGirl Shadowblast
in Beige Blaze.
It has a built-in primer with a doe foot applicator.
It has a frost finish, which is great for putting just on
the inner corners of the eye and also on the browbone
to give it a more wide, lifted look.
Just gonna apply it right on the lid.
Taking a stiff eyeshadow brush, I'm just gonna gently
blend it in.
You want to blend it really well because it is a cream shadow.
You don't want it to crease.
One last thing I want to mention about the Shadowblast is it has
a built-in primer so your shadow will stay long-lasting.
Now I'm gonna move on to eyeshadow.
I've picked CoverGirl's 4-Kit Eyeshadow.
As you can see, the shadows are more pink and rose and purple
pigmented, which will go great with Emma's green eyes.
I'm actually going to just start with a cosmetic sponge.
I'm gonna pick up this lightest color that you see
and I'm gonna set the cream Shadowblast.
So I'm not gonna apply this all over the lid, I'm just gonna
apply it in the areas where I want to see specific lighter
shades, like on the inner corners and the browbone.
So as you can see, just by adding just a little bit of
lighter colors to the inner corners and the browbone,
you can see that it's already opening up.
Now we're gonna move on to the middle shadow.
I'm actually gonna be using this third color and just, again,
pat the product on before you move it over, same with
the sponge and I'm just gonna apply this all over the lid.
So as you can see, what I'm applying is I'm applying this
third medium tone, it's a little bit more matte than the other
two lighter shades and it's definitely more matte than
the Shadowblast I've already applied onto the eye.
The reason being is because we don't necessarily want shimmer
everywhere, you just want it on certain places of the eye
where you want it to open.
In this case, we want it to open on the inner parts of the eye
and just on the browbone, to accentuate the natural
curve of the eye.
So by applying a matte or a darker shadow, you're kind of
toning it down and just putting light and dark
in contours where it's needed.
Now before I move on to the darker contour shade of
the palette, I'm gonna take a fluffy eyeshadow brush
and I'm just gonna blend away any possible harsh edges.
Now what I'm going to do is I'm gonna take that same fluffy
eyeshadow brush and I'm gonna take that darker color,
just gonna take a little bit.
I'm gonna apply this just to the outer corners, very slight
outer corners of the eye, just a hint of it.
Move it around a little bit, pat it in, and then,
just slowly work up on the crease.
I'm gonna take a different eyeshadow brush, just a clean
one and I'm gonna go back over with the light and just clean up
on any fallout and just retouch up on the highlight
and reinforce it.
And to take care of any fallout that may happen,
you can take just a small blush brush, like this,
and just gently sweep it underneath.
And now I'm gonna go ahead and just finish off
with some mascara.
I'm gonna be using CoverGirl's Lashperfection
and this is in a Brown/Black.
To open the eyes up more, I would suggest doing it on
the top and the bottom so that way you get the full effect of
the lengthening and volumizing of the Lashperfection.
So now that we've finished off the eyes, I'm gonna finish off
the whole face in the look with just some lipgloss.
I'm gonna be using CoverGirl's Natureluxe Gloss Balm
and it's just in a nice wine burgundy color.
Just gonna lightly just put it all over the lip.
And she's good to go.
If you have any questions on the look that we just did,
please feel free to contact a Style United counselor.
Good luck.
