[Student] What is the matter with this silly clicker?
I keep getting a no link-up message.
How do I get this darn thing to work?
[Narrator] If you purchased your clicker as a used clicker
or if you purchased it before the spring of 2013,
you will need to check your clicker's firmware version to make certain
that your clicker works throughout the new semester.
This video will walk you through those steps.
First, turn your clicker on.
Do this by pressing the center silver button
firmly and deliberately.
Now press the left function key on your NXT response
card three times.
That will take you to the home screen.
Next, press the right function key under the
tool box which looks like a wrench.
This will bring up the words 'Find Channels' on
the clicker screen.
Press the right enter key 2 more times until you see
the words 'Device Info' appear on the screen.
Press the center silver button once to bring up
the clicker's device ID.
This is the same ID printed on the back of your device
on the silver label.
Press the right enter key once more and you will see
the firmware version of your device in
the clicker's screen.
If your device has less than firmware version 1.1.1,
you should take your clicker to the information desk in the
Student Union or to the Student Technology Lab in
Barnhardt for updating and maintenance.
