Although in the wild palm trees grow outdoors, some tropical palm trees are very suitable for growing indoors
Remember that all palm trees develop long leaves, called fronds, which can reach considerable size
and it is therefore necessary to have a large space available for your palm tree, to avoid ruining the foliage and the whole plant by growing it in a narrow space
These plants are native to tropical climates, and therefore perfectly adapted to growth in places with fairly constant temperatures, between 15 and 25 ° C, and high humidity
To obtain a well-developed palm indoors, then, you should place it in a warm area of the house, where it is not subject to changes in temperature or draughts
You should grow your palm tree in a sufficiently large container, and you should water the soil when it is dry,
providing a good amount of water but avoiding leaving puddles in the flowerpot holder
To increase the ambient humidity you should periodically spray the canopy, using an atomiser with very fine spray and filled with demineralised water, to avoid staining the leaves with limestone residues
then keep the foliage clean, dusting it at least once a month with a soft and slightly damp microfiber cloth
With the arrival of spring if possible place your palm outdoors in a bright and partially shaded position
Once you have placed the palm outdoors, freshen it and clean it with the help of the garden hose
or even with the spray from the bathroom shower.
