Ok, we've established what the point of the speech is, the happiness that we're going
to convey. But, as far as structure goes, the first thing you're going to do in this
speech is tell everybody who you are. Basically introduce yourself. Now, more than likely,
you will know the people that are at this Anniversary celebration and they will know
you. But, whether they do, or whether they don't, you want to give a brief introduction
of who you are. Tell everybody your name; tell everybody what your relationship is to
the couple and why you were asked to give this speech. It might go something like: Good
afternoon everyone. I'm Tracy Goodwin and as you all know, I am the youngest daughter
of Doris and Bill Goodwin. And, they're celebrating their fiftieth Wedding Anniversary today and
so, all the brothers and sisters got together and decided that since I was the public speaker
of the group, that I would actually be the one giving the anniversary speech. So, I'm
really excited and now I want to talk about my mom and dad.
