Goooal! Goooal! Goooal!
Hey, are you as crazy about football as I am?
No? That's okay, because I lied: I don't really care for football either.
I do watch the occasional international game or
when Borussia Dortmund is playing, that's at least entertaining,
but football in general? No thanks.
Of course, this means I've a hard time checking out
"Micro Stars Series 2" by Simba.
Some kind of football player
bobbleheads in a rather small blind bag.
Now these things are a few years old, so they don't even
contain Borussia Dortmund players at all, instead, they got Bayern Munich.
And other clubs I don't really recognize right now.
Tha's apparently VFB Stuttgart, how very interesting indeed.
"One of 24 football stars" of which I very likely know none.
"Trade and play", because yes, you are supposed to play with them as well.
Let's see what Simba has put into these bags.
Hah, I know this guy!
This proves me a liar, because it's Philip Lahm with a huge head.
And for the cheap price
the figure doesn't look all that bad.
Of course he's from Bayern Munich which doesn't make him more attractive,
but I have to admit the figure is rather well done.
Pretty detailed,
except for the enormously huge head, of course.
What's this?
Probably something for the game.
Some kind of stats ... hm.
Maybe the packaging can help ...
Ah, here they are, all these
guys I mostly don't know anything about except they are earning top figures
for kicking a leather ball around.
Sounds like I'm jealous of them, but am I really?
I don't think I am.
Anyway.
Is Philip Lahm common or rare or what?
Philip Lahm has a green base which makes him ultra common.
Because green is at the bottom of the color pyramid.
"The rarer the base color, the higher are the stats"
"Therefore, a player with a silver or golden"
"base is stronger than one with a green base."
"A player with a black base is a joker and the most rare." Aha.
Unfortunately they all have a
green base, making it pretty much impossible to see who's what.
Hm.
Looks like you can get accessories too, what fun! "Champions' Gallery"
is probably something like my shelf except that it looks like a stadium.
And there are goals
so you can do exactly what I did with my orc and some lego,
except that your aim is hopefully better than mine as
it took me at least 20 attempts to shoot a goal. Yep.
Awesome.
And a play mat, "Super Club".
Hmm. Okay!
And of course, here's the actual
game. "On the bottom of the base you can find"
"the player's stats in different categories with the following symbols."
"Flanking"
Right, okay, so
Lahm has a flanking value of 17.
Tackling 19,
Hmhm ... Dribbling 17, and
Passing also 17, sounds rather mediocre. What's the highest value?
It doesn't say ...
but yeah, he's probably rather mediocre.
Okay?
Ah, the joker has 24 so that's likely the highest value.
Good.
"As is the rule with every good coach: the more money you spend on your players,"
"the higher is your chance of winning."
Sorry, that's just for Bayern Munich.
And probably for buyers of blind bags as well.
But in reality it says "the better you know your"
"players, the higher is your chance of winning." Right.
Good to know!
Before I crack any more anti-Bayern jokes I
should stop right here.
See you next time!
