Dark Horse has premiered.
It's a movie featuring Maori actors Cliff Curtis,
James Rolleston and Kirk Torrance.
It was the chosen film to launch the NZ International Film Festival,
and our reporter Pere Wihongi, was there.
The red carpet was rolled out for all the movie stars,
at the premiere of a new NZ-made film, 'The Dark horse'.
Based on a true story,
Cliff Curtis plays the lead role of Genesis,
a man suffering from bipolar.
His younger brother is played by James Rolleston.
Rolleston is on the celebrity A-list of NZ,
and he encourages young budding actors to follow suit.
The movie will be released to cinemas around the country
at the end of the month.
