hi everyone this is doctor bell
uh... we're finishing up the uh... module on monitoring and regulating for
quality
one of the big responsibilities that we have as administrators of early childhood
programs is to ensure
that quality is happening and so we talked about the different ways that we
can do that the main way is through a systematic program evaluation uh... that
we can do as you remember back from the materials that we covered we
have the environment rating scale the class observation which looks at
interactions we have the accreditation criteria and self-study and the
program assessment scale that you all have to do is one of your signs for this
course so uh... if u also include uh... staff and faculty
uh... evaluations that they do on the program in the administrator and family
evaluations that are conducted on the staff program administrator
and you have a nice complete package so you have to decide throughout the
year when and where those particular tools for the use of the you can
influence quality new program the other thing that we learned is that you is the
administrator the responsibility to and enhance and enforce quality for your
guidance and leadership of the staff that you have not settling for a second
best in not allowing them to cut corners when we shouldn't be
so i hope they got a lot of this module out there a lot of thinking ahead tips
in here because the guidance plan uh... was visited a little bit and we talked
about connecting with children and helping them to become a community
giving them class and jobs so you can think about how you want to incorporate
that into your guidance plan
and that will be due towards the end of the and that will be due towards the end of the semester semester
