The last few days
without wind have brought the opportune conditions
for both Ngahiraka Mai Tawhiti and Te Aurere to catch more food.
The fish caught will feed them for the next week
until they reach Tupuai.
A sailor on board Ngahiraka,
Piripi Smith, spoke to us today and mentioned that everyone
is excited to see land again and restock their food rations.
Te Aurere broke two oars.
Another is on the way.
It belongs to Matua Hector.
We'll pick it up in Tupuai.
We also need to replenish
our food stocks.
Some of the sailors
will also have a break there.
Ngahiraka and Te Aurere will travel three days towards
the east and three days northward, hoping to reach Tupuai by then.
