Hello YouTube! I am going to keep this relatively brief because I am going to go to an Oxford
tweet-up thing in about half an hour or so so um I'm going to be reviewing the game Prince
of Persia: the Two thrones which was also known as 'the Rival swords' on the Wii. Er,
which was lent to me by GenericPurpleTurtle who is a guy in my school, he writes a blog.
And he also lent me the Gamecube which I was playing it on here. Um, which is a somewhat
antiquated machine. Um, and the graphics do look awful on it, er, for example I was playing...
well I already had the Sands of Time before and it looks just so much better on your PC.
Like, Sands of Time, and there was a two year gap between the two and... anyway. Sands of
Time looks much better, er, and it's probably a better game too. But you can kind of think
of like Prince of Persia (the Two Thrones) as being the 'Director's Cut', almost. Um,
because it took elements of Warrior Within, you know with the... like at times he goes
all scary and loses all his health or something and he can only get his health back by killing
other sand monsters. That's kind of Warrir Within's style, I mean I haven't played Warrior
Within. I should probably mention the conditions in which I made this review or played the
game before reviewing it. Um, I played it for about three hours before etting stuck
on this really annoying section where you don't have a save point. Well, "save point"
he saves by like, um, drinking water, or something... Yeah. He saves by drinking water from these
little fountains. Um, and I didn't have one of them for like, y'know a long bit of combat.
And then there's always once you've finished off a whole bunch of enemies there's always
one archer left like sitting in the corner. And in order to reach him, well, you end up
dying before you can get to him basically. Which is really irritating. Um, tsheeew, what
else? um, Oh yes, the story of the game is somewhat similar to the story of the first
game. Well from, from waht I saw anyway, I mean it starts off with the prince gong off
into a city, the city's full of monsters who can be killed by, um, something to do with
the Sands of Time? I didn't really pay much attention to the story. Um, and he, there's
there's this romantic interest. Er, who he has to either go and rescue... or, yeah he
goes and rescues her. He's in Babylon! In the first game he has to rescue her. Not in
hte first game, in the Sands of Time he has to rescue her. Also I didn't play, erm, what're
they called? The first and second Prince of Persia ones, you know hte 2D original ones?
I din't play them. I aslo tchoo tchoo tchoo had to talk about... Oh yes! There's a new
Prince of Persia game coming out called Prince of Persia: the Forgotten Sands which is going
to carry on that trilog. If you can really call it a trilogy, no, it's you can't call
it a trilogy 'Cos there's four of them. Okay its going ot carry on the story anyway y'know
with the "Prince" whatever his name is and, um, his "Romntic interest". And, stuff. And
there's also a Pince of Persia movie er, which is being made by hte same guy that made...
What was that film? The one with the Pira'That's it, it was the Pirates of the Carribbean!
It's being made by the same guy who made Pirates of the Carribean so presumably it's going
to be, like, full of drunken pirates 'n stuff. Um, but actually quite good. And I look forward
to that, because, you know, there aren't many good gaming films, in fact I don't think there
are any good gaming films... Okay, good gaming films, there's existenz, there's, er, Wargames,
I think, er, and there was Gamer but that was like a bit Crap. Anyway, er, apart from
that the gameplay of.. What was it called? Two Thrones. Is... The same as in... Sands
of Time? And it's a lot harder? I've run out of steam now, I've got to go to my meeting,
so, Bye everyone!
