\f0\fs24 \cf0 Hello again and welcome back to Fairgrounds TV. I'm your host Peter Moeller
of Fairgrounds Wine and Spirits in Danbury, Connecticut and tonight we have a great Belgian
beer for you. it only comes out once a year. It is Gouden Carolus, it's their Christmas
ale, their Noel ale. This is the little sister of my favorite beer, Gouden Carolus Cuvee
Van De Keizer. It's ten and a half percent alcohol. Let's check this one out. Pouring
a nice dark mahogany, dark brown. Beautiful carbonation, great small tiny bubble lacy,
a tan head. Let's check it. Wow, i am getting a strong anise flavor almost like the black
licorice in the nose. A hint of caramel tasted malts, even slight dark fruits, which if you've
had the Gouden Cuvee Van de Keizer you know that's what it's all about. Let's give this
a taste. That's amazing. This beer is more, theres this big anise flavor to it. Almost
like this anise, almost a root beer-like smell without he black licorice in there. It's Phenomenal.
That's great. It's exactly what you'd want from a high-end Belgian Christmas beer. It's
great. Definitely a little more interesting than I remember it being last year and in
previous years. But this is awesome. Some people say it's a little bit too sweet, but
I love the sweetness of Blegina beers. It finishes, it's nice and round on the tongue.
The carbonation is perfect. This is just phenomenal and a very different christmas beer. I'm gonna
have another sip. The nose of smelling of taking a big whiff while you're taking a sip
is just amazing and its intense in a tulip glass. It is awesome. Come by the store, there
are not many of these left. I think we have maybe a case and a half in the store. We're
trying to get another 5 to 10 cases for the holiday season, but this is fantastic. Come
check it out. We're going to throw it online at greatcorks.com. It's in the store, come
talk to us. There's tons of other Belgian Christmas beers. We've got Affligem Noel,
Corsendonk Christmas, we've got a ton of em. There's a bunch of the elf beers. But come
check them out before the end of the holiday season, before the run out, because this is
worth it. Come on by and we'll see you there. Peace! Oh, you're still here. Oh, sorry. I'm
finishing this one!}
