Don't be surprised if your smartphone and UTP combination is more powerful than other
tablets. In most cases a smartphone offers far more functionality and ability than the
nearest equivalent tablet. As soon as your smartphone is UTP-enabled, all these additional
abilities are available to you in UTP tablet mode.
UTPs do not require their own App processing electronics, storage or connectivity electronics.
This inevitably makes them less expensive than a 3G tablet of comparable quality. In
addition, they do not need their own SIM card or contract in order to use 3G connectivity.
Despite their high quality, a 10" IPS 1280 x 800 UTP is inexpensive enough (starting
about $150 retail) to justify owning several. You might have UTPs of different sizes and
features.
In the car for GPS-ing In the office
In the bedroom In the living room
One for the kids to use ... you get the idea Changing Phones
UTPs do not go out of date just because your smartphone does! When you decide to change
your smartphone, just ensure you replace it for another smartphone which has a TransAdapter
available.
