Do bodybuilders have cheat days?
Like what? Days they can cheat on their girlfriends, diets or workouts?
A lot of diets have cheat days. Do body builders get those?
If you eat too much on a cheat day, it essentially wipes out the benefits of dieting the rest
of the week. However, body builders do have rest days.
Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of working out?
No, it doesn’t. In fact, they have to rest their muscles periodically to avoid strain
and overuse injuries.
Even God had to rest on the seventh day. Makes sense that aspiring Greek gods need to do
the same.
And body builders don’t cheat on their diet their rest days. They need fewer calories
if not working out, but they don’t get to pig out on bon bons, ice cream and cheese
cake.
That sounds more like how a girl would blow her diet than a guy.
Furthermore, many body builders simply switch their workout routine on rest days. Instead
of lifting weights, they go jogging or swimming.
Isn’t that cheating?
No, just building cardio instead of bulking up. And it makes them healthier all around.
I wouldn’t consider running a few laps a rest day activity.
Give it a rest!
Do they ever relax on their diet?
Of course. You can’t live off power bars and protein shakes forever.
Some guys try.
If they could afford it. Relaxing with a bowl of yogurt or Snickers bar isn’t going to
blow your diet or workout.
It’s the five Snickers in a row that blow it.
I know there are people who take a rest day off on their diet and pig out on pork skins.
Getting a little off track is tolerable if you don’t fall off the track.
Then you have no hope of making the track team.
The smart guys plan for their indulgences in their diet, eating less of this so they
can have that one craved thing.
Like a beer.
As long as it isn’t so much that he ends up with a beer belly.
