On behalf of Expert Village my name is Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood,
Florida and today I'm going to teach you how to relax color treated hair. I'm going to
show you that I have applied a thin line like this on the scalp. I don't want to get too
much of it on the scalp, just a really thin line, really small. You might want to rub
your fingers like this on it and precede to take really small sections. You want to make
sure that all the scalp is covered. You want to protect her, you don't want to have the
client to get any kind of burns when you are relaxing the hair. Even though I'm using a
nice relaxer that was meant for sensitive scalp, I still should base that scalp and
protect it all times. Your are liable for if that person gets hurt and you do not want
to do that, so just take your time and divide the hair just like that really nice and thin.
You do that in all 4 sections. You would proceed to do that. You come around the hair line
and you go around like this and you apply it on her hairline. You would go down like
that putting it around the hairline. Now you can be generous here you know cause this is
very sensitive. Anything near the face is very sensitive also doing it around the ears.
