The track went on to win the Most Earth-Shattering Collaboration award at the 2007 MTV VMAs and
it also won an Ivor Novello Award for Best-Selling British Song.
April 22 1922, Born on this day, jazz composer, bassist, bandleader,
pianist and civil rights activist Charles Mingus
April 23 1936, Born on this day, Roy Orbison. In 1988, Roy celebrated his 52nd birthday
by attending Bruce Springsteen's concert at the L.A. Sports Arena . Bruce had the audience
sing happy birthday to him.
On April 24 we celebrate the birthdays of a singing legend and a modern day singing
sensation. Born on this day in 1942, Barbra Streisand, singer, actress, writer, film producer,
director and winner of two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, and five Emmy Awards.
And on this day in 1982, Kelly Clarkson was born. Kelly was the winner of the first season
of American Idol in 2002.
April 25 1960, Elvis Presley began a four week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with
'Stuck On You.'
April 26 1970, Born on this day, Tionne Watkins, better known as T- Boz from TLC and now a

April 27 1974, A free afternoon event called "Spring Carnival Extravaganza" was held in
the parking lot of the University of Connecticut, Ice Hockey Arena. Aerosmith and Bruce Springsteen
were among the performers.
April 28 1987 - On a plane that was returning to Boston, from Miami, Ozzy Osbourne bought
three rounds of drinks for the spring breakers aboard and sang "Crazy Train" over the PA
system. Sounds more like a "Crazy Plane" eh?
