>> It's very unique, number one.
In the industry, we're the only one that offers it.
And -- and it's very exciting for our employees to have an opportunity to -- to be part of a --
of a nationally recognized university, UM-UC, and have a chance to start and finish something
and actually have a certificate at the very end.
It -- it's very unique for us.
We believe it's a recruiting tool for us.
And quite frankly, it keeps people, long-term, working for the company.
>> We have to have goals beyond just good store operations.
And certainly we do a great job of training our employees in how to do their jobs.
For many of them, that is a steppingstone
to manage a Jiffy Lube store or maybe manage several stores.
But for many others, it's a steppingstone to other goals they have in life.
And if we can help those who have aspirations to, say, earn a college degree
or an associate degree, then we've really done a great job, if we can assist in that pursuit.
>> One of the things that we do offer at Jiffy Lube is many people start as technicians.
They became managers.
They even become district managers within the franchisee organization or district managers
for Jiffy Lube International itself.
But they always see it as a win-win.
Franchisees don't mind losing an employee, if that employee goes on to have a better life.
And typically, because this is a certificate program, it really helps with turnover.
>> Our goal is to always be the best.
So when we partner with someone, we look for the best.
And with UM-UC, we know we're dealing with an experienced business partner.
And they're willing to even customize their great program for our purposes.
So, how could you have a better partnership?
>> UM-UC is -- is a nationally recognized university.
And that's what's important for me,
as I'm bringing on people into our corporate organization.
It's very, very important that they've got a degree
from a university that's recognized throughout the industry.
Because quite frankly, we're not going to bring people with organization
that don't have a great education.
