So how do you use a PC gaming headset on a PlayStation Quadriple? Very easy with these
three hundred and twelve simple steps! If you already have a headset for your PC that
you already use, you don’t NEED to buy another separate headset for your PlayStation 4. You
don’t NEED to buy any crazy expensive dinosaur adapters; this is a cheap and practical solution.
All you need is a cheap 2 jack to 1 jack adapter like this one. This one cost me roughly six
freedom dollars after freedom shipping and freedom taxes, but you can probably find one
even cheaper. Step 1:
-Get your PS4 controller. Treat it kindly, it is your friend. It might be your only friend.
Step 2: -Get your headset. Make sure it looks dirty
before you film it, you sad slob. Steps 255 and 256:
-Connect the adapter to the audio port on the bottom of your controller and connect
the microphone lead to the mic jack and the audio lead to the audio jack.
Step 5: -Turn on your PS4 and go into the Settings
menu. Then scroll down to Devices and make sure both input and output device is set to
Headset connected to controller and Output to headphones is set to ALL AUDIO. From here
you can also adjust the outgoing audio and mic sensitivity.
Congratulations, you now have a stereo PS4 headset that is better than the default Happy
Meal one you got with the console itself! Now this only works on ANALOG 3.5mm headsets,
NOT USB because you will need at least one plug also called a “lead”. There is only
one drawback I can think of. The audio going through the controller isn’t as loud as
I would always like it to, but the sound quality is really good, there is no audio delay and
it works! Now you can play your favorite games and be
cool again!
