>>The Honda Brio is slightly more expensive than the petrol Ford Figo. The Brio is priced
between 4.1 lakh rupees and 5.3 lakh rupees for the manual transmission variants. Comparatively,
the Ford Figo petrol is priced between 3.85 lakh and just over 5 lakh for the top-end
Titanium variant. Besides the price advantage the Figo has over
the Brio, the Figo is also a more spacious car, with more luggage space and legroom on
the insides. The Brio feels a lot more compact, but the beige interiors give it an airy feel.
However, when it comes to performance, the Brio is much better than the Figo. The 1.2
litre engine in the Honda Brio puts out 86 bhp of power and the car feels a lot quicker
than the Figo. The Brio also is more compact and has a short turning radius, making it
great for the city. But on the value-for-money front the Figo
is better. In the top-end Titanium variant, you get two airbags, ABS, alloy wheels, music
system with integrated Bluetooth phone connectivity, power mirrors and rear-wiper. All this at
a price point of just over 5 lakh rupees. The Honda Brio top-end V variant has an integrated
music system, but no CD player or Bluetooth. It also does not have a rear wiper on any
variant because of the design of its all-glass hatch. And it’s about 30,000 rupees more
expensive than the Figo. Overall, the Figo would be more value-for-money,
if you want a spacious petrol car with features. However, if you want a peppy, compact city
runabout, not really worrying about luggage space, the Brio it a better choice than the
Figo petrol.
