Welcome to Student Life's Office for Disability Services ATTC Lab.
In 2002, the ATTC was completely renovated. The ATTC consists of 16 individualized computer
workstations. Each workstation is contained within its own carrel, has access to the internet,
a printer, a scanner and standard word processing applications.
The ATTC computer lab features Kurzweil 3000, RW Gold, two of the most popular reading and
writing enhancement software available. It also features ZoomText screen magnification
software and keyboards, as well as wide-screen, supersized monitors, JAWS screen reader software,
CCTV image and print magnifier, electronically adjustable tables, alternative input devices,
such as trackball mice and intelli-keys keyboards, Dragon Naturally Speaking Voice Recognition
software that types as you talk, a SmartNav that offers hands-free mouse navigation, a
Sorenson Video Relay Communication station, a refreshable braille output computer station,
the ATTC even has a workstation configured for left-handed users.
The ATTC is staffed by the ATTC Coordinator who oversees the lab and provides individualized
training to students. There are also student technician on duty to provide technical help
in the lab. The staff of the ATTC work hard to maintain
a quiet and conducive work environment for ODS students.
