Hi everyone,
today we're taking a look at a case from Belkin for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Belkin Snap Folio Case
Now this particular one is a folio style case
so you might think Filofax is kind of the way they're going with this, very much
down for the executive owner of the
Galaxy Note 2.
So what do we actually get? Let's have a quick look
in the box.
Quite nice packaging, it's not actually too difficult to get into which is nice.
Pretty straightforward affair
There's the case, there's our packaging out of the way.
So on the back of the case
the clasp to hold it is just a popper so you can pop that on and off quite easily.
Inside, a little bit of packaging you can get rid of
and what we actually have is a
basic plastic shell there which we can clip our Note 2 into the Belkin Snap Folio Case, like that
and that will then keep it nice and secure inside the case.
It has a slight lip around the outside which is great
helps to keep the phone actually in the grip
but also if it does face plant like that
it's going to protect the screen as well.
The actual ports
on this case have been reasonably well milled out although it does feel like there's not
quite enough room there to always reliably get to the S Pen.
On some of the cases they've made this slightly bigger so you can more get your
finger in there to pull it out rather than needing a fingernail.
This does tend to need a fingernail to get it out accurately every time.
They've left quite a reasonable amount of space for the speaker
so your sound isn't muffled at all and again
quite a lot of space around the actual camera
as well,
although for my mind
the actual spacing here it's going to be blocking a small amount of light in
certain situations so just bear that in mind.
The USB port on the bottom
has been left well open, as you can see there is absolutely nothing getting
in the way here
which means it should be able to go into a dock with reasonable ease
you may just have to
open up part of the case but it will actually go onto a dock as you can see here there's
quite enough room just fit it onto a dock reasonably easily.
That brings me onto the next stand out feature really for this case.
Well, this is a convertible case so if you want to turn it into a stand there you go. Job done.
So now you can use your Note 2 in the Belkin Snap Folio Case
at various different angles
quite easily as three or four positions there that you can kind of
adjust it into
and it holds it quite nicely. They've used like a foam material on here
feels like a suede, but it's not
and this will actually keep the Note 2 quite nicely balanced there and if you need to you can
actually just flip the
clasp out of the way, which again just helps to raise the stand up just a
tiny bit more.
So as I say, this makes for a case that is both versatile and will protect your
device, fantastic. You can see here that the power button,
again plenty of room, you can hit that quite easily. If you want to be able to get hold of the
volume controls again available
naked as it were, there's nothing covering these buttons.
The only thing you have to do obviously is just lift the case away slightly if you want to be able to
get hold of them quite quickly and easily. If you're trying to do these changes on the fly
the power button is easy to get hold of without actually opening the case.
Although your volume controls are hidden and whilst you can hit them
it's not the easiest thing in the world, I have to say.
You will find it quite a bit easier to open this up.
I've been using the case for a couple of days I took it out with me yesterday
for half a day just to see how it performed and I found that it didn't get in the way
which is really good.
The Belkin Snap Folio Case kept the phone nice and
protected and it allowed me to feel like I could take my device out of my
pocket quite quickly and easily
without worrying about dropping the damn thing and that's everything you really want from a
case in my opinion.
The sound quality isn't disturbed at all by having the cover across the front of the
device because they've left a nice amount of space there for the actual
speaker grille.
That's absolutely fantastic. All in all I found this to be a really really nice case.
