This is a local scale view of the Rocky Mountains, also known as the "Rockies". In this view
you will see mostly green terrain. All the green here is either trees or plants on the
mountains. If you were to get closer, you would be able to see a better view of the
types of trees and all the animals living in the Rocky Mountains. In this view, compared
to the local scale view, you are able to see more mountainous terrain. You are also able
to see more of the rocky areas of the mountains versus just the green trees. The large mountain
range is very clear in this picture. This is a global scale view and as you can see
the green outline is the Rocky Mountains. As you can see it runs through two different
countries including the United States and Canada. It runs through Alberta, Canada and
British Columbia. In the United States it runs through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming,
Idaho, and Montana. The highest elevation of the Rocky Mountains is in Colorado at 7296
feet.
