Korea. Home to some of the most dedicated fans in the League of Legends community and arguably the most competitive eSports teams in the world.
Two teams will represent the region at the Season 2 World Championship, although it's not the two teams most people predicted would qualify.
Azubu Frost's strong start to Season 2 set up their qualifying chance at OGN's The Champions finals where they squared off against one of Europe's top teams, CLG.EU.
After falling behind 0-2 in the best of five series, a determined Azubu Frost turned it around, winning the next two games in a row.
In the blind pick 5th game, they dominated CLG.EU to secure the win, giving them enough qualifying points to advance on to Los Angeles.
At the Season 2 Korean Regional Finals all eyes were on heavy favorites, Azubu Blaze, as many thought they would join their brother team at the World Championship.
But Najin Sword, led by MakNoon, shocked the world and defeated Blaze, 3-2, in the best of five series.
The upset moved Najin Sword on to Season 2 World Championship, and left Azubu Blaze on the outside looking in.
Azubu Frost and Najin Sword will now look to put all arguments to rest and prove that the best teams in the world really do come from Korea.
