[D. Etter] Honors students tend to have that edge when it comes to internships because
you have the past experience, you have the grades, and so, it’s very easy, especially
with the help of the honors college staff, to get these internships.
One in particular I’d recommend looking into is the Life-Health Science Internships.
That’s a campus wide internship, but they especially promote it to honors students because
these are internships that are meant for people who are looking to go into the medical field.
They are oftentimes at the hospital, at the med school, at the dental school.
I had one in the department of pathology at the med school, and it was the best experience
of my college career so far. I got to watch autopsies; I got to look at live specimens.
I just went to a conference in San Francisco actually on pathology, and it was honestly
the greatest experience of my college career so far.
