Overcoming fear: day 4 in the series.
Hi, I'm Cassie Eubank, Life Coach.
And I'm very excited for today. We have got tricks and tips.
Some very useful information, on helping you overcome your fear.
Now, did you realize that gratitude is kryptonite to fear? It really is.
So, one of the best things we can do, is get grateful about the things in our life.
And we have talked about observing your thoughts;
that's very key in helping you to get over your fears.
Just observe them, don't judge them.
Notice your thoughts, because your thoughts equal your emotions.
And if you watch your thoughts, and you monitor them,
just observe them without judgment,
pretty soon, you'll start thinking, 'this thought doesn't really serve me',
and you'll start choosing better thoughts, all on your own.
So, observing your thoughts is one way we can overcome fear.
Gratitude, the biggest thing you can do for yourself to help overcome fear.
It truly is kryptonite.
You could make a gratitude list.
With a gratitude list, you simply write down all the things that you're grateful for.
Now, that can be friends, family, vacations that you've taken,
vacations that are up-and-coming.
It can be a butterfly, flitting around outside the window,
while you're working one day. Anything.
There's so many things to be grateful for, even squirrels.
I get grateful watching little squirrels with their little bushy tails,
as they run across the road.
So, so many little and big things, to get grateful for in our lives.
So that gratitude list is really going to be a very important part
in helping you overcome your fear.
Now, to take that one step further, you can do the 'Rampage Of Gratitude'.
Now, the Rampage Of Gratitude is where you actually infuse that gratitude list
with emotion, wonderful, appreciative, loving, grateful emotion.
So, I've done a video on that,
be sure to check my other videos on Rampage of Gratitude,
if you want to see how that's done.
But a quick little, if I were going to be doing a Rampage of Gratitude about my dog,
it would be something like, 'I love my dog so much, he is just so cute.
Rocky's got these big bat ears, and I love to pet him, I really do,
he's so soft and furry, and he's just the sweetest dog ever.
I'd love to hold him and hug him'.
So, one, not only writing the name of your dog on the list,
but actually thinking about your dog with gratitude and loving feelings,
do that with each of the items on your list.
Go through, and spend a couple of minutes on each item.
Really get grateful, for having that person, that experience,
in your life, whatever it is, that's on your list.
Bliss List: this is one of my favorites.
A Bliss List is a list of things that you like doing.
So, it might be playing volleyball at the beach,
it might just be being at the beach.
It might be going out and dancing with your girlfriends.
A good dinner with friends, traveling, anything that you love doing.
Just the thought of doing it makes you happy.
That goes on your Bliss List.
Here's an important tip:
make sure you schedule one thing in every single week,
that's on your Bliss List: put that on your to-do list.
Throw that in your calendar,
it's wonderful to always have something to look forward to.
Vision Boards. Vision Boards, for those of you who don't know,
is basically, just getting a whiteboard, and putting up pictures of all the things
you want to bring into your future existence.
So, it might be a boat, it might be a trip to Paris,
it might be a new home.
But, just looking at those things,
and then just imagining that you've already achieved those goals,
or obtained those things, or you're in Paris now.
Imagine being there, imagination is a great tool
for helping us get where we wanta go.
Not only that, it's fun!
Remember when you were a kid, and you were daydreaming all the time?
That's when life really gets good!
Write a thank you note.
Now, you can call somebody and thank them, that's always a great thing to do,
but there's something about writing it out, let them know what they've done,
to really make a difference in your life.
Let them know why they're important to you.
And thank somebody, and send them that handwritten card.
You'd be amazed at how good you're going to feel,
sending somebody else a thank you note! It's fantastic!
Also, this is another one that I've come up with, that I love: a gratitude picture.
Now, when I say 'gratitude picture', I got a digital picture frame,
and it re-cycles different pictures,
so you might have a hundred, two hundred pictures in there.
Rather than a gratitude list, all those things that you're grateful for,
why not have pictures of them, in one digital picture frame.
And, as it randomly throws up one picture after another,
every time you glance at it, there might be something that you'd forgotten about,
that will bring a smile to your face,
'oh, that's right, I remember that trip, it was awesome!'
So, a digital gratitude picture, um, I guess that's the best way to put it.
And lastly, I'm going to leave you with Tony Robbins:
great place to leave you, he does this emotional flood exercise.
So if you go onto YouTube,
and you type in Tony Robbins emotional flood exercise, check that out.
He does such an amazing job with helping you bring gratitude into your heart,
and gratitude truly is kryptonite for fear.
So, make gratitude part of your daily practice, get rid of the fear,
get in touch with who you are, and live the life of your dreams;
because if you're not living, fearless and free, to me, you're not really living!
And that's what I really want for you.
