The prime minister has Laid down today the foundation stone of AL-Faw port south of Basra
A source at the General Company of Iraqi ports said that ministers and officials attended the port opening ceremony,
adding that preparations for that event was under direct supervision
by minister of Transportation Amir Abdul Jabbar.
The source said that the port will be one of the largest ports in the region,
and it will occupy 16 million and 650,000 square meter, and included 100 piers with a capacity about 99 million tons annually.
A British company will undertake next week implementation of water refinery project
of Darbindikhan region in Suleimaniya province
The local official in Suleimaniya Dana Abdul Kareem stated to the National Media
Center that the government has allocated 3 million dollars for the project
Pointing out the implementation needs eight months.
Abdul kareem attributed the delay in project to not opening accounts to the British
company in the Iraqi banks, that led the delay of shipping equipments and materials of the project.
The experience of planting in greenhouses recorded great success in Maysan province at the current season.
That contributed to the provision of local types of vegetables
to the consumer without need of importing.
The head of development project in Maysan Ali Hussein Al-Bahadili said that the
products of the plastic houses had achieved great success
due to the good quality of crops.
