Hi I'm Pandora Amoratis, Style Director at OK! Magazine. Today I am going to talk to
you about prom trends because it is right around the corner. And you know prom it is
all about the dress and this year girls are really taking their cues from the red carpet.
We saw a lot of spring colors at the Oscars this year. Everything from the pale blue gown
Lupita Nyong'o wore to all the champagne and blushes. Here I have similar silhouettes and
styles from David's Bridal. You know David's Bridal is an amazing resource. They have over
200 different styles to choose from, which means there is something for everybody. A
girl can really find her dream dress at an affordable price and what is even more amazing
is that they carry sizes 0 to 24. Look at this beautiful blue gown, its so similar to
the one Lupita wore. It's absolutely stunning. It's only $99. This strapless fit and flare
is so similar to the one wore by Jessica Biel she looked absolutely beautiful. Alternative
necklines are also a really big trend this year. This is a stunning embellished look
and don't forget about the bling. Pile it on. You can find it all at David's Bridal,
the shoes, the handbag you can go shop in store or at Davidsbridal.com. And for makeup
you know the thing that is so great about the prom is you can really have fun with your
everyday makeup routine. You just want to add a little extra sizzle to it. I highly
recommend Essence Cosmetics. They have all the trends, bright colors, bold metallics,
glittery accents. You can find them at select local retailers or at Ulta.com. They are high
quality and they wont break the bank. I'm really into these Essences Metal Glam eye
shadows right now. You can layer the different colors create a beautiful smoky eye. Top it
off with the I Love Extreme volume mascara. Its an absolute favorite, it's amazing. It's
only. It's less than $5. For lips I say go bold, do a hot pink or a bright red. The key
is to keep it matte. Essence Stay Matt lip creams are absolutely amazing they are not
going to leave your lips all night. You do not need to reapply. Smooth Berry is a really
great pink. Silky Red is the red. If you are really going to play up your eyes you want
a more understated lip, I would suggest the Velvet Rose and last but not least nails.
Essence Nail Art creates a 3D effect so cool. You can do pearls you can do glitter. I'm
actually wearing the glitter right now it's really easy to use, you just sprinkle it on
a still moist nail, add a topcoat, you're good to go. For all of these goodies you can
go to essence-cosmetics.com to find a store near you and for more trends pick up a copy
of ok magazine.
