I wanted to use the escalator.
So I walked over and two feet in front of me....
Here we are on the 7th storey. And there's a nice view of Tel Aviv.
But I want to tell what happened with the parrot.
Because it was one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me.
As I was saying in the previous clip I was walking
to the escalator and then I saw maybe only a foot
away from my face, only a big beak. No bird, just a beak.
And the parrot yelled: "Shalom, Shalom"
And I was completely surprised/scared because it's not just that it was a bird
being sold but it wasn't in it's cage. It was just perched on a little branch.
So I walked back and took out my camera.
And I thought "ok, this is weird, I'll make a film of it to show what had happened."
So I started to film like you saw and a man screamed at me in Hebrew:
"If you'd like to make a film it'll cost you 2 Shekels."
"And if you'd like to purchase the parrot he's 300 shekels."
And he chased me away from there.
It was so strange. I then tried to just take a photo from another spot
and he screamed at me again. Perhaps for the best.
But the bird began to fly because a pigeon came and he was frightened.
This is a big parrot, not a joke of a bird.
But the man doesn't sell any animals other than the bird, he only sells nuts,
as well as bagels, sandwiches and whatnot.
Here you can see it. I was just a foot from the bird
before I knew that he was there.
It's the strangest thing, the same thing happened to these women here.
