was a success right house we got look at what the successor a second heater were
excited about some of the research we're doing here
we're doing longitudinal outcome-based research
and what we're finding is that the clients are showing significant drop
in air dysfunctional behavior patterns
as our progress in our program
in terms of over the long term
there is some mild regression her or returning back to old behavior patterns
i would be expected as they enter them
back into the larger society
they're still showing that they rather subclinical meaning
still relatively healthy level
on the terms of those behaviors over the long term so basically what it
suggesting that
uh... showing improvement in our program and even maintaining that
uh... as they leave and forward
the other thing i think or do you think about
is that
wilderness therapy is really just the delivery method - in my belief
a very effective one,
which is why I do what i do
but
in wilderness
we're using different approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, family
systems,
the Twelve Steps,
healthy diet
and exercise planning. Different things that in the research today
that have been proven to be effective approaches
to treating the different symptoms that our clients are showing.
If you want more details on the research I'd encourage you to look at our
website and
find the page that details the
research we're currently doing at Second Nature and
uh... we're going to continue to update as we've find out more and more through
our research.
