Run CATIA program, then go to START -> MECHANICAL DESIGN -> PART DESIGN
Then, Name the Part design as you wish.
Then, enter the sketcher by clicking the 'xy plane' on the tree on the left side.
Before you start drawing, make sure that you are using the correct units.
To check, go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> PARAMETERS AND MEASURE -> UNITS tab.
Then, create two circles using circle function. It will be your base profile for your rod.
Once you have two circles, constraint two circles by measuring diameter.
Then, change the value of diameter for two circles. The diameter of the outer circle is 15mm while the inner circle is 12mm.
Then, make two circles have the same center by clicking the center point of two circles and using the 'coincidence' function in Constraint Defined.
Exit the Sketcher.
Now, span the part by using the 'Pad' function.
Give the length of 24mm. You can either do 'Mirrored extent' by giving the length of 12mm or simply pad out 24mm.
Now, the last step will be giving the title of the work that you have done so that you can track down your work in the future.
Go to the Tree on the left side. Then specify the work you have done on your parts.
You can change the title by right clicking the name that you wish to change. Then, go to PROPERTIES -> FEATURE PROPERTIES tab.
When everything is done, make sure you save your part.
