Move or Die is exactly what the game says. You play as a character who needs to Keep
moving or your health depletes to zero. And Jumping doesn’t count as moving too. That’s
what makes the game quite hard. Up to 4 players may play Move or Die at a
time and they compete to be the last one standing in a variety of game modes. However, if you
are alone and unable to find players you’d still be able to play the Daily Challenge
for some XP. But Move or Die isn’t without progression
though. By playing online, you’ll be able to earn XP which in turn levels you up and
gives you boxes to open. Boxes can contain a variety of things like new game modes, character
skins and modifiers. The only issue about Move or Die is that the
loot from the boxes are completely random. Which means you could get the same skin or
game mode twice. However, there exists a marketplace for you to sell and buy loot. So technically,
if you play your cards right, you might profit from this.
Move or Die is far from what it was when it first released. It now boasts Mutators, a
whole bunch of Voice actors doing narration and also Twitch integration. To top it all
off, connection issues seem to be fixed as well.
The only pet peeve I have about this game is that this game really requires friends
to play with. Otherwise, its fun-factor dies off pretty easily.
The visuals of the game are simplistic and amusing. However, I believe that a game that
simple should not be causing the computer to drop frames that much. Optimization may
be an issue that Those Awesome Guys might want to fix.
As for the Audio, With the addition of narrators, the game seems to have injected life into
it. The music too, is addictive and top notch, keeping players at the edge of their seats
without tiring of the repetitive looping. In conclusion, Move or Die is an excellent
party game to play online as well as offline. However, without unlocking many loot and without
friends to play with, the fun-factor fizzles out as quickly as the health bar. Move or
Die gets an 8/10 as long as they don’t stop improving on the game.
