My parents moved here from the south to work for General Motors
When people ask me where I'm from I usually get this really concerned look when I tell
them I'm from Flint, MI It's almost a guarantee that the next question
is going to be about the crime, or the lack of jobs, or both.
What they don't realize is growing up in Flint was Awesome!
It was a community filled with passionate, committed, family-oriented, middle-class people
And then unfortunately with the decline of General Motors and other auto manufacturers,
a lot of things changed... Media In Action was born out of a desire to
give hope back to the people And allows people to connect and tell their
stories While teaching Junior Achievement in the classrooms,
I realized how brilliant the students were And how quickly they caught on to technology
Something just clicked and I saw an opportunity to share with these students the gift of entrepreneurship
and a chance to learn a skill outside of the Automotive Industry
My name is Nicole Tate and I am the founder and CEO
Media In Action uses technology to tell a story in a unique and creative way
We educate, entertain, and encourage our audience to take action
The way people watch TV has totally changed. Usually people will DVR their favorite programs
and fast forward through the commercials. Print ad is quickly being replaced by digital
media And now with caller ID people don't answer
their phones anymore unless they know who it is.
So, how do we reach our customer base? The short answer is social media, but more
specifically...video With the widespread use of Android devices,
smart phones, ipads, ipods, laptops with video recorders,
Almost anyone can record themselves on videos, But not everyone has the expertise, or the
time to give them that polished/finished look. That's where we step in
We have the ability and expertise to help you tell that story
Whether a customer comes in with 10 pictures and no video or 3 videos and no pictures,
we take what the client already has and begin to develop a story that they would be proud
to share. One thing that I learned about growing up
in Flint is Resilience And we still have a community filled with
professionals, students, entrepreneurs, churches, non-profit organizations
And because we tap into the local talent in our community, as we help you change the direction
of your business and tell your story You are in turn helping us change the direction
of our community So, why don't you hop on over to the services
tab and learn more about how we can help you share your story with the rest of the world!
