The Daros exhibition was, so to speak, a summary of only the 60s and 70s…
Which hadn’t been seen here for a long time… neither here nor anywhere…
It was also unprecedented in Zurich …
When it was shown there in October last year.
And it was a great opportunity to have it here at the Pinacoteca,
the space was good.
And here at the Nara, there are 5 recent paintings, and one from 3 years ago… which is this one, right here.
And the others are all from this year.
Some have multiple layers of material…
First the iron oxide, then the copper, or fake gold... golden coloured.
Then the Malachite, or other vegetable or mineral pigments that I use,
But, actually, these ones here are purely abstract...
Although they have a very strong structure…in squares, so sometimes you don’t notice,
but the space is identical that one there is multiplied by 2...
It all, let us say, follows a certain modular pattern.
And inside these modules I treat each one differently.
What do I mean by “differently”?... I mean to myself.
I try to do some overlapping,or see the reaction to a given material…
They're not really, shall we say, by the rule.
I try to violate the visual situation a littlewith these planes.
