Hi, I'm Brigitte.
This is Slope Style. I'm here with Jill who is here from Burton. We're here to talk
about the South Side Slim Fit Pant
from Burton. And, I've gotta say, when I see slim, it's a little bit
scary for guys. I know that what they might be thinking, maybe not enough room
for their junk down there. Tell me about the fit of this
pant. Uh yeah, our slim fit pant we build
to take into account that there is going to be some room for mobility
and there's going to be room for layering. The pant
is a little bit narrower cut in the waist, the thighs and the hip
but it's not going to be super slim fit like skin
tight slim fit. Okay. So there is room for movement.
Yep. It just has a look of slimness but a little bit
fuller at the bottom. Yep. A little bit more tailored above the knee and then it will,
I guess, kind of flare out a little just to accommodate the boots and, yeah.
Okay. So, what is the fabric made out of?
The fabric is a two-layer Oxford fabric has a really, kind of a
burly hem to it. This is a new pant
for us, for winter '13. I think it's important to point out
it's kind of more style pant for us. You'll see on the waist there is
a shoelace waist adjustment so you can kind of tie it.
You'll see that trend in some of the fashion right now with men's denim.
So, we're kind of taking some of the denim trends into our line.
Do you think that some of the trends are going a little towards slim on the mountain
these days? Definitely. It's definitely, we're seeing that presence on the hill
so we're wanting to kind of accommodate for those people who are looking
for that slimmer fit and a little bit more tailored without being overly
baggy. Okay. And what about, is there some other
extra feature on this pant that you would like to point out? Uh, yeah.
The pant is fully taped. It does offer
some of our universal features that all of our pants offer. An internal
waist adjustment and it also has some of the ghetto
slits and inner thigh vents too.
And does it roll up at the bottom if you are going through slush? Yep.
Absolutely. It has that snap up at the back so you can snap the backs
up and you're fine, your pants won't get trashed in the parking lot. And did you mention the
waterproof rating? It is a 10,000mm waterproof rating so great
waterproofing. Cool. Well, that's the Burton Slim
South Side Pant and thanks Jill for coming.
