To load an embroidery alphabet design, we're going to go back out to the main area. Here's
what we're going to do. Touch the stitch menu button. This is the one people always forget.
They're like, "How do I get out of here?" If you don't remember, you can always turn
off your machine and reset it, but here is what your magic button is. That one. The one
with the straight and the zigzag.
You also need to follow the arrow to the left. That's going to take you out one level. Go
ahead, arrow to the left, and we're back to where our main folders are for our USB stick.
If you arrow all the way down to the bottom one, Fonter is the folder that has the fonts
in it. Touch "OK". Those 3 options are the 3 options that came with your book, the 30mm,
20mm, and 12mm.
Let's go ahead, I'll just pick the 20 and touch "OK". We have uppercase. We have lowercase.
We also have numbers and spaces. That little upside down staple is a space so if you're
spelling out more than one word ... I'm just going to just go ahead and do my name. I'm
going to arrow down to a capital "S", I'm Sara. Then I'm going to change it to lowercase
so touch the alphabet here that will change it all to lowercase. There's my "a", arrow
down for my "r", touch "OK", arrow up for my "a" and touch "OK". So it will spell it
right out.
If you need to clear a letter, you can go ahead and back up. I'm just going to re-enter
that and touch "OK."
When you're ready to stitch, go ahead and touch the "Program" button. That is going
to take you into the sewing screen. Once again it will tell me which hoop my name will fit
in. Because I picked a smaller lettering size, it will fit in a smaller hoop.
If I want to go ahead and stitch it in a larger hoop, first thing to do is take and switch
it to the hoop you are using. Arrow over to the side, hoop size, arrow to the right. Put
a checkmark, I've got the 260 x 200 hoop on. Touch "OK". We're ready to go.
It will stop at each of the letters which is nice. Color 1 of 4. Each letter will be
defined by how many stitches are there.
We can go into "Alt" if we need to move that to a stitch in a different area of our hoop.
We can arrow down. We can move right or left. We can touch "OK" and then trace around the
design. This is nice so you have an idea where you need to be. Then the 5th time you touch
"OK" it puts the needle in the center of the design. That way, if you had marked your fabric,
it will allow you to move that to exactly to where you'll be. Arrow down or arrow to
the right, up or down.
Touch "Alt" to come back to the stitch out view and you're ready to sew.
