Hello everyone and welcome to our weekly review.
This week was a bit slow but we still have quite a few announcements as well as interesting news. While we lack quantity, we definitely have quality.
This week, we saw the announcement of two VOICEMITH voices, a Miku V4X demo, four language additions to VNN, and more.
First, here’s the Miku news.
This week, a demo featuring Hatsune Miku V4X Dark (used for the chorus) and Soft was released.
In addition, concept art for Miku V4X is now available for download as well.
Speaking of Miku singing, she’s featured in a stunning music video singing a remix of tilt-six’s “VOICES”.
Along with tilt-six’s amazing arrangement, we also finally got to see iXima’s own Hatsune Miku 3D model, which was used in the video!
The song will be available for free download soon via Sony’s special “Voices 39” collaboration site, where you can also currently find free ringtone and wallpaper downloads if you’re a Sony Xperia mobile device user.
For more information, check out Mikufan’s article linked in the description box.
Also, while the article was published just recently, we’d like to announce that the "Hatsune Miku Opera THE END" will be in Germany next week!
There will be three showings: one each on August 18th, 19th, and 20th. We have more information about the opera and how to get tickets in the description below.
And finally, at least in our Miku news, we have official Magical Mirai 2016 merch.
There’s a long sleeve full graphic t-shirt featuring art from LENA[A-7], a muffler towel, a shopping bag, and a black-handled concert penlight.
There’s also a clothes hanger (making it look like Miku is wearing your clothes!), a penlight holder perfect for those using two penlights, and a Magical Mirai official shirt as well as a “39 Music!” edition t-shirt.
For prices and more information, Mikufan’s the place to be!
Next, we have two very exciting additions to the vocal synth family.
While they aren’t VOCALOIDs, the UTAU vocals JOAN and OSCAR by VOICEMITH are definitely being well received.
These two come from the creators of Xia Yu Yao, an incredibly popular Chinese UTAU.
The two currently only have Chinese voice banks and are featured in a song together. There’s more information on the two available on VNN.
And finally, we have quite a bit of VNN related news.
On the 4th* (*CORRECTION: 6th), we had a live stream that featured several members of VNN as well as the VOCALOID producer EmpathP.
You can find it on our channel and linked below. Expect more live streams in the future!
The live stream isn’t all we’ve been up to, though.
In the past week, we’ve added four new languages: French, Russian, German, and Arabic!
There’s also another special addition to the VNN family: ProjectDiva.Wiki and ProjectDiva.Net.
While not much has changed on the Wiki, we’ve changed the forums ever so slightly and added languages to make it more accessible.
That’s it for now, guys. Stay tuned this weekend for Otakon coverage from Monds and Hoshi.
I’ll see you again next week!
