Hey, I’m Mike with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m going to walk you through the install
for these pre-painted headlight splitters for the 2010 and up Mustang GT. The first
step is to apply the 3M automotive adhesion promoter to the back of the headlight splitter.
This is important because this forms a secure bond with the 3M tape. Let that sit for a
few moments. Next, clean the surface of the headlight where the splitter will sit. The
headlight must be clean for the tape to adhere to. Now, take the provided adhesive tape,
and place it on the back of the splitter, press down firmly to ensure it bonds with
the adhesion promoter to the back of the splitter. Give the tape about a minute to fully bond
with the splitter, then remove the backing of the tape. On the headlight lens, you should
see an alignment dot, use this dot to place your splitter on the headlight, also make
sure the splitter is positioned correctly on the corner of the headlight as well. Once
you have the correct position, press down firmly on the splitter to firmly seat the
adhesive tape to the lens. Repeat these steps for the other headlight splitter, and you’re
finished.
