So typically there are some huge speakers down here, amplifiers and the computers sit on top of that, that run it.So times we have a seperate one
for the audio and sometimes we get brave and run them both off of the same machine. As you can see we have lights strung pretty much everywhere that we could put a light up.
We have them on these rails on that ledge up there. You mentioned a box in the wild. Here's a box in the wild. As you can see it's the fanciest thing you've ever seen in your entire life.
This was actually when we tried to laser cut it it was a little to thick. And so the laser cutter spent a really long time getting through it, heated it up a lot, burned it.
It's not a very clean cut. It lit on fire in some places and so the Art Department decided to not let us keep setting their equipment on fire.
Version two of the fancy case. Not nearly as impressive. This was where we put cables through. There are about 16 cords
running out of that box powering various things. This is actually our orphan box that wasn't supposed to be here until we ran out of channels. We talked with the department head of this building and he said it was OK
for us to use their electricity. Which I suppose is doubly OK based on the fact that every single light in this entire plaza is plugged into one spot. Every thing is down stream and ends up at that
little ... you see those three cords coming down? We have one outlet over there that everything is powered from including our sound system.
So it really speaks to the energy efficiency of LEDs that you can run a high powered sound system and all of your lights from one single spot.
