Welcome to the video tutorial of ScientificPlotter. I would like to give you a quick overview
of this unique program. ScientificPlotter is divided into the frontend
and the backend. At first ScientificPlotter starts into the
frontend. Here you’ve got your calculator view, which gives you a solid calculator for
your daily use. But you can easily transform the calculator
into a full functional scientific calculator. But ScientificPlotter has another view, namely
the backend. Here you find the history and the so called submenu.
As you can see each History entry has a unique id, the input you have made, and the result.
By long pressing an item you bring up the options menu.
Here you can add brackets, switch the variable, delete the item, or copy the input. There
are overall three for different results, one for functions, as we saw, one for numbers,
and one for a parametric entry. The backend does not only consist of the History.
We also implemented a so called submenu. The submenu gives you a second way of input.
Let’s make our first plot! The Plot window is divided into the axis area,
the title area and the plot itself. You can interact with it, by dragging it,
double tab to zoom in, single tab to zoom out, fling it around or pinch zoom into the
desired area. All these actions can also be performed on a single axis.
So this wraps up our first video tutorial of ScientificPlotter, thanks for watching
and stay tuned for the next one.
