Does this never stop?
We are at the Westfalenhuette (Dortmund, Germany), behind enemy lines.
And as you can see this is a very cool location.
This was a really succesful day of shooting! Exhausting, but awesome!
Director Marcus Overbeck and director of photography, Michael Joerg,
from Filmefahrer Pictures based in Berlin/Cologne, did the basic script of the video.
Together we worked out the details and finally realized it today.
Each of us five literally shed blood today! Well, you can't really see it but it DID flow!
He claims this is Dortmund-Scharnhorst, but actually this is a restricted area.
Like Tschernobyl. You know what I mean when you take a look around!
And this is what it makes such a *** great location!
We have been freezing a bit at the beginning, but when the sun came out...
We got pretty wet at times but the explosions kept us warm.
Behind me it was like "BOOM" and a wall of sound and heat struck me.
The explosions, well. I have to admit i was a bit scared.
Well, I act as the deserter. I want to get rid of all this, so I just take off, running for my life.
Always wondered how great it would be to act in a scene where something gets blown up right behind you,
like you see it in all the Hollywood movies.
Now it finally happened and it was just amazing!
I'm a rebel and belong to this group here. And that's what I fight for.
Unfortunately i get caught by those who don't like the rebels that much.
And well... they want to kill me.
Once in a while I took a sneak peak at the control screen when a scene was shot,
and it already looked pretty wicked!
But we have to stay patient, because the post production will take a few weeks now.
Some members of the "Leverkusen Action Police Team" were here and acted as the SWAT team.
They were the evil guys. So a big thanx to you, fellas!
Everybody was really motivated and dedicated.
All people involved worked their butts off and held the line by wind, rain, sun and fire!
We are so excited to see the final video! This will definitely be killer!
A supersize THANK YOU to everybody involved! Yeah definitely!
In case we didn't mentioned it yet - this video clip is for "A Hole In The Sun",
to appear on our new album "Mercy & Misery", which will be released on January 14th by SPV.
If we're lucky the video will be completely ready by then, probably even a bit earlier.
So then you can enjoy both album and video simultaneously!
"Immigrant Song" was written by Jimmy Page & Robert Plant
and originally appeared on LED ZEPPELIN's 1970 album "I"
(C) 1970 Flames Of Albion Music
The video shoot was really grand! The explosions totally thrilled me, but now I'm done and dusted.
So i gotta take a break now and eat a sandwich.
