Hi, I'm Candie Cooper and in this Sakura video I wanna show you how to make this
Andy Warhol-inspired Pop Art using Instagram photos
and Sakura's Expressionist Cray-Pas oil pastels.
This is an awesome project that kids of all ages are going to love doing.
We all know Instagrams are hot. It's always fun to have one more thing that we can do with them
So make sure that they are switched over to black and white in your app before
printing
and you'll want to print 4 of whatever image you're doing. And then you can
color them in with Sakura's Cray-Pas in
as many different psychedelic colors as you want. Alright, so I've got a stack of
Instagram photos here just to show you the progression of how you do one of the four
Instagram prints with the Cray-Pas.
So to get started you're just going to color right on top of your photo
and this is really cool with the black and white
because it kind of looks like you're hand-tinting the photo.
But you want to pick some bright colors
So we're just going to leave that and then switch to a new color.
I'm heading over with some pink
and then you would fill in all of that section. This is so easy, right?
Next, we're going to make our Gerber Daisy a super bright yellow
I love this part, when you're coloring on the lightest
part of the photo and these
Cray-Pas go on so nice and easy with their creamy
texture
You can get some really nice effects here. And you would just fill in the entire daisy.
Or whatever you're coloring.
And then finish it up with some teal in the center.
And if you have crumbs that are popping up on the photo, just tap them off
or you can use a paper towel to brush over them.
And we've got one that's almost finished here. And
what's really fun is then you can take your finger over the whole thing
you can add a couple other colors if you want.
You know, maybe go around the outside of the daisy
or the center of the daisy, like so. And then
smooth it out with your finger
and it's really cool because it picks up the texture your finger
and it really gives it that custom, personalized,
blended effect. I love it. So to finish this off,
I just glued these down with some white glue onto an 8x8 canvas, plunked
the 4 Instagrams down and away I went!
So start printing those Instagrams in black and white and coloring them with Sakura's
Cray-Pas
Expressionist oil pastels. I'm Candie Cooper
We'll see you next time!
