Hi, this is Shiloe with Style United and today,
I'm gonna show you how to achieve the classic
Hollywood glam look.
When I think of the classic Hollywood beauty, I think of
a flawless face, an exaggerated cat eye, and a bold red lip.
I'm gonna be working with my model, Emma, today.
And first I want to talk about your skincare.
You want to make sure that you're using a good moisturizer
and making sure that your face is matte as possible.
What I would recommend is DDF's Weightless Defense
Oil Free Hydrator.
It's a very lightweight moisturizer, it also contains an
SPF of 25, which will also keep your skin looking beautiful.
And that's what we've used to prep her face with today.
Now as far as the foundation, what we've done is we've applied
the foundation to Emma's face and we've also set it with
a powder, again, to get a flawless, smooth, even coverage.
What I'm gonna start out with is choosing a great eyeshadow.
Typically, with a Hollywood glam look, you want to choose
something a little bit more natural that has a little bit
of shimmer to it.
You want it to be glamorous.
So what I'm gonna choose is the CoverGirl's 4-Kit Eye Enhancers.
I'm just gonna take this lightest color that you see here
and I'm gonna apply it all over Emma's lid,
and the reason why you want an overall light color
is this is your highlighting color.
Now that we've done the highlighting color, what we want
to do is I'm going to use just this bronze color and I'm gonna
be applying it just a little bit above the crease, just give the
eye a little bit more dimension, a little bit more sparkle
because we still want to keep that glamorous vibe.
So, again, just taking a fluffier blending eyeshadow
brush, I'm just gonna blend it in.
You don't want to go too far into the inner
corners of the eyes.
You just want to concentrate it just on the outer corners
and make sure you get it up into the crease.
So we're gonna go and move on to the contouring color.
I'm gonna put this down and I'm gonna pick up just the other end
of the cosmetic sponge and I'm gonna pick up this darkest color
on the palette that you see and I'm just gonna put this on
the very outer corners of Emma's eyes,
just a touch here and a touch here.
And then I'm gonna take the eyeshadow brush later
and smooth out the harsh edges.
And with this darker color what I'm doing, again,
is I'm bringing that just a touch over the browbone,
just to give a little bit more dimension.
This one's just a soft blending brush,
you can see it's dome like.
I'm just gonna go back over and redefine
the highlighting portions that I had before.
So now that we've applied the eyeshadow, what I'm gonna
go ahead and move on to is eyeliner.
What I'm gonna be using is CoverGirl's Liquid Lineblast.
I would prefer to use it in black, you can use it in
a dark brown if you have a lighter complexion,
but black works best.
If you don't have a steady hand you can just put dots along the
lash line and then just slowly connect them and then, again,
taking the smudger tip and just flicking it out slightly
to get that effect as well.
Now that the perfect cat eye is finished,
what I'm gonna be moving on to is mascara.
It's important that when you're using mascara, you want to do
just the top lashes and also the bottom lashes.
You want to get a nice coat because you want beautiful,
thick, lovely lashes.
What I'm gonna be using to do this is CoverGirl's
Lashperfection in Black.
So now that we've finished the eyes,
I'm gonna be moving on to the lips.
Nothing says classic Hollywood glam more than red lips.
So what I'm gonna be using to do that is I'm gonna be using
a lipliner in red.
This is CoverGirl's LipPerfection Lip Liner
and I'm also going to be using as a gloss,
CoverGirl's Natureluxe Gloss and this is in Anemone.
CoverGirl's Natureluxe Gloss Balm is sheer, however, when
it's matched with a lipliner you really get a nice pop of color.
So I'm just gonna start with the lipliner and what I'm going
to do is I'm gonna start on the lower lip and I'm just
gonna redefine it and go back in and fill it in.
Just gonna lightly sketch.
A little trick that I like to do when doing the top lip
is I start from the corner and I sketch my way up
to the cupid's bow.
The reason being is because when your hand's going upwards,
it just tends to give it a fuller look so you really
get that timeless, classic Hollywood pout.
And when I get to the cupid's bow, I always just like to
round it out a little bit and redefine them.
It gives a really timeless, chic look.
Now that I've lined the lips, I'm gonna go ahead
and just fill them in.
Now that we've lined the lips, I'm gonna go ahead
and go back over with the Gloss Balm.
The last step is to get a beautiful natural flush
of color on the face.
So what I'm gonna use is CoverGirl's Instant Cheekbones
and I'm just gonna pick up this middle color.
And then smile for me.
I'm just gonna apply this on the apples of the cheeks.
And you're gonna blend it up towards the temple.
And now we're done.
Miss Emma looks beautiful.
