Welcome to the Pingle review. Now when you open up Pingle, this is the opening screen
that it comes to. It allows you to use location services if you wish to be located and you
wish for your friends to be able to see you. Click OK. If you don’t wish to be revealed
to everyone in your networks, then you hit DON’T ALLOW.
I’m going to go ahead and tap on OK because I want to show you some of the location feature
options. Now I actually really like Pingle and the reason is it’s simple. It achieves
its objective really effectively and it’s kind of no‑fuss; it only has one purpose
and it doesn’t really try to do too much.
Here’s your entry box. And basically, you type in your update here and it will update
all these social network sites that you have linked to your Ping.fm account. Now if you
don’t have a Ping.fm account, you need to go get one, sign up and then link your Ping.fm
account to all the social media accounts that you would like updated.
And a beautiful thing about Pingle is once you update from here, it updates your Ping.fm
account and automatically updates all these accounts as well. So you really only have
to make one post.
Now let’s just take a really quick tour through some of the features here. If I tap
on the CAMERA icon, it’ll ask me to take a photo from the album, remove any image that’s
attached to the current post or take any image with the camera and actually include that
in the post.
I can also tap on HISTORY, and that will allow me to look at all the previous posts I made
in the last few days up to a maximum of 50 posts. It allows you to do that. Then tap
on that. And it then loads up the current location that you’re in. Okay. So that’s
loaded up. And you can see that it gives your network, your location. So if people are in
the same area or doing a similar thing near you, you guys can hook up and meet up and
do cool stuff together.
So that’s pretty much it. There’s not much else to Pingle. I rate it an 85% out
of 100%. I think it’s pretty effective at what it does and it’s definitely on the
first page of my iPhone. I use it pretty regularly and hope you do too. Thanks for listening
