Some children of mine just went out of educational system, and it was never the
same for all of them – smiles Foreli remembering, how much they traveled across America.
In some states they had to let their children to go to school, as it was compulsory.
She' s open about letting her children choose what they wanted to occupy with
and what not, what they wanted to learn and what to decline.
Intersting, but none of Farelis child attended school all the time, as it
is common for us (public education until 16 is compulsory in Lithuania).
And they don’t even have their diplomas.
I was ready for my children to have interest themselves.
If they really wanted something, they will learn that themselves.
Because I did it myself, when I was a teenager.
I learned foreign languages; I read two books a day because I wanted to.
Then you don’t want to do something, you can just shove information into your head…
as they say: you can bring a horse by the water, but you can’t make it drink it.
I’m very happy I gave that freedom to my children.
But they got some basic school knowledge, didn’t they?
Did they learn to read and write themselves?
I taught them myself a lot.
A bit of school – one was there for two years, another for 3.
As yo-yo – one goes to school, another leaves.
My eldest son went to college at the age of 13.
After two years he decided to start business.
One had a change of heart, other was stable, like Akiane for instance.
Everyone chooses his life differently.
This way of living is not for everyone, of course.
It should be lots of original systems.
But only if we could choose and cultivate that diversity in state!
As teachers, as families we could make something new and see what happens.
If we all be the same, as made in factory, the result is sure and predictable, however, not interesting at all.
There is no interesting life.
I suggest something new.
You’ll see, in future everything will not be the same,
claims Foreli, talking about not far future and a big change.
There will be lots of new, groundbreaking things, which will amaze the world, says
she, and if we only concentrate on exams, we will loose the freedom of human wisdom.
She brought her three youngest children to Lithuania, while two
elder children are self – dependant and have their own activities in USA.
Of course, some principles of maturity are necessary.
But we concentrate only on them, forgetting the human: how he develops
with his love, does he really know how to do operation if he’s a surgeon.
Maybe he only has a diploma and no knowledge.
But your children just won’t be able to be doctors or lawyers
They are purely creative.
Not exactly.
For example, if they interested in something, they study it with accuracy.
Akiane wanted to have a pilot license, and she almost has it.
She had no knowledge about it previously.
16 years old. Some of that age doesn’t
know how to read or write. Those things are really
simple and fast learned. What is impossible to learn is love.
If you didn’t get it in your first 15 or 16 years, no matter how much of it you will
receive later, you will have no flexibility, you just… just be like frozen clay.
It’s about love.
And knowledge?
Knowledge is accessible and I’m not afraid if one of my children would
decide to be a doctor, he could pass exams, and study and be it perfectly.
However, they started business, have interesting professions,
and as a world scale community we see it wrong. It’s like a sand clock –
everything is turned upside down. The idealogy, the attitude, starting
from economics, to education and family. You need to be brave in many things, however one lacks
support, says Foreli, thinking of her little geniuses. Her daughter Akiane (Ocean)
is called a prodigy. And she is at spotlight
of worlds media. As she was a young child, over 50 television
programs showed her story, like CNN and Oprah. (I bet they wouldn’t understand a word in
Lithuanian, it’s the oldest Indo-European language, you can listen how your
ancestors sounded like millenniums ago). Many people are surprised by
Akianes talent many years already.
From the age of four she paints, creates poems, in couple of
months learned how to play piano and now composes herself. She speaks in 4 languages
and claims God dictates it. In no time we will speak of Akiane not only
about her talents, but also about her visions. Until that, we must say.
It is very interesting, then she was just a newborn, we met and psychic, who made a prophecy about her life.
That psychic lady lives in Vilnius, she’s Armenian, and she’s helped
police a lot previously: to find thieves and kidnapped children.
She just came to our lives, I didn’t know her at all, but she said everything about Akianes life.
Everything has come true already.
But somehow I waited, well, where is my miraculous child, and I waited
for month and two, and she was the most simple and normal child.
A girl with normal neurology and psychology, attitudes and joys.
She was really very normal.
I didn’t see anything special.
And just as I thought it’s all balderdash, it just came unexpectedly.
She was already four.
And she started painting?.
She started drawing.
She developed herself.
I made an environment for her, as she studied at home.
So that was just it.
And step by step and step, after her visions appeared.
More of visions, and she started really to develop one day, once
she just woke me up in the morning with perfectly rendered images.
And I can say honestly – I didn’t notice the moment.
My life was full of everything then.
No one really paid too much attention towards her, and she started to develop herself.
Maybe it’s OK from that point of view – it was a first time I understood someone is really paying attention
and something special is at the age of 8, then she just finished a portrait of Jesus and then she showed up on Oprahs show.
9 years old?. 9 years old.
Then I thought – wow, something is going on.
You know how it is – with bunch of kids, our two children were
sick at the time, little ones, and we were just attached to problems.
It was almost critical.
And the whole break through to world of Akiane was unexpected and
we just stood aside it, letting everyone else arrange everything.
But everything almost went wrong, because people were not good, not honest.
You mean?
Some people wanted to use her for money, they were thieves.
And we needed to de-attach from those people, and so her eldest brother helped her.
He was interested in business from the age of 13, so he helped her with
web-site and stuff of the kind, we went to different places with her.
Our elder boys were huge support, we simply couldn’t move without them.
Everybody sees Akiane in the spotlight, however, as in other families,
it’s a team work in this case, as every ones part is important.
The truth is also that already in her childhood years Akiane started talking
about her visions and meetings with God, in surprise of her parents.
Parents were not at all religious, they never went to church.
Foreli says it was a wake up call from God to them.
Akiane herself claims she believed every child feeled and sensed the same as she did.
After a while she began to understand she was somehow different.
You know, I feel somehow differently.
But I truly believe everyone can do same thing I do.
But they need more time or freedom.
And I had that – that freedom, that inspiration.
I had my time too.
And what was really important in your childhood, for example at the age of 6 or 8?.
I wanted to stay with my family.
I had no friends, I went to school for a little time here and there.
But I always wanted to be with my family.
We were really close.
And I wanted to stay all the time.
And you didn’t want to go to school?.
I wanted.
I went there as I wanted, but I wanted to unite all the world, I had a feeling
I had to unite the world with my paintings and my poems, and it was my goal.
And from the age of 7 and 8 I have this, and I would like to reach my goal.
But did you had any teacher who showed you how to draw, how to master a brush?.
No… I did it all by myself.
I went to a store and I bought my colors and brushes.
Mom gave some money and she said to take what I need.
So I did!.
And… it worked!.
Nobody taught me, I didn’t want to.
I had this feeling I need to learn it myself and for myself.
If you can’t learn yourself, you gonna learn nothing.
You need to make mistakes and then correct them in order to learn.
So who told you, what is mistake and what is not, like a teacher?.
You know, I paint and someone from my family, or brothers, or neighbors or parents
Their ideas and suggestions are included, maybe… if I made it not quite good, or made it better, and
advises are good for me too.
