When I shoot I become one with the camera.
It is an extension of my arm, we are one unit.
Photo offers me self-fulfillment. I can leave a trace behind me.
I can create something awesome and offer my clients a positive charge.
I take pictures of people because they charm me.
And I want to leave them good memories.
I like the idea that, when they look at these photos after ten or twenty
or even after thirty years, then it would bring the smile their faces.
And they could remember that good day.
SELF-IMAGE
For me, every person is equal in front of my camera.
But there is a small need to use a different mask in front people.
For example if you take pictures of children, you definitely are more energetic and joyful than
Taking pictures of company leaders.
But it does not change their role in my eyes.
I have read a lot about the human psychology and also just kept an eye on people.
When i was younger, I went to stand on the streets
I could spend hours on the corner of the street, and observe people.
And come up with stories for them.
Where did they come from? Where are they going? What do they do?
And it has given me an opportunity to refine my own mask.
I know how an extraverted person should be.
And how to spread my energy across the room.
But definitelly it has not been refined to ideal condition.
This is a lifelong progress.
To many people the life of a photographer seems joyful.
You take pictures of naked women and life is good.
Actually, it is not that easy.
A lot of work happens behind the closed doors that the clients are not seeing.
Different photo editing tasks, meeting with clients, answering e-mails. The list goes on
I recently attended a course where they said that answering to e-mails
has became one of the biggest source of stress. I am not surprised at all.
Life has to be constant moving and envelopment.
If you do not keep up with the time, then you sadly will become extinct.
Especially in our society of information, where everything is changing fast
And the technology is evolving in major pace.
The lack of motivation usually comes when I have gotten stuck in a routine.
I fight against it by tearing myself out of the comfort zone and by doing something new.
Whether it is something new to shoot, or at the given time, shaving my beard.
I felt that my beard has outlived its time and there is a time for a change.
I had to tear myself out of the comfort zone again.
The next big change will be the change of my studio grounds.
I feel like at a given, place my growth has stopped
and I need a new place, where to keep growing.
I can not be stuck in one place.
I needtimet for myself. To be completely separated and charge my batteries.
If an extravert gets charged by surrounding himself with people.
Then an introvert hides himself between the walls of home and does not want to see anyone.
I believe all introverts know, what I am talking about.
To me, the most important thing is, that a client would be pleased with photos.
When they are he is happy, I am happy.
The more you try stuff from outside of you comfort zone,
The more you learn about yourself, and your work.
The most important thing, is to be happy.
Even if the only thing that makes you happy is your morning coffee.
Live for that morning coffee, be excited for it. Buy mugs, a coffee machine.
Or try different flavors.
Bury yourself in to that world
Learn to make it, or even better - open your own coffee shop.
Let that small happiness, no matter how small, to turn into passion.
This is what keeps you alive!
You make your own life.
