Hi, this is Mark from Show Me Cables and today I'm going to show you how to terminate a TNC
female connector for RG58.
For today's project I'm going to need RG58 coax cable, a 3-piece TNC female crimp connector,
coax strip tool and a crimp tool.
To begin, take your coax strip tool and remove the outer jacket and dialectic.
By using a coax strip tool, you can remove both in one motion.
Next, slide your ferrule over the jacket. Using your hands, peel back the braid and
fold it over the jacket. Insert the center pin on the center conductor. Slide on the
connector housing all the way against the jacket. Then, fold the braid back over the
connector housing and slide up the ferrule. It is ready for crimping.
With adequate pressure, crimp the ferrule onto the jacket. This creates a secure connection.
Give it a pull to make sure it is properly seated and you have successfully crimped this
connector.
