Hi and thanks for coming on check out this video
What this video is about is about a trip that i personally tooked to go to
Nepal
the capital being call Kathmandu is right in-between China and India
in the population or over thirty million people
with the size a little bit larger then Victoria in Australia
and while i was there i was really shocked just to see
management system of how waste is disposed of
frankly what they do is literally throw it, anywhere
doesn't seem like
massive collection
management system and yes i understand that in 2005 they had a
civil war
and they just recently only became
a democracy
after the king was overthrown or chose to
remove himself from his
seat of power
yay democracy
but that was that i was really shocking to see how much rubbish was on the ground
everywhere
uh... you know I took a couple of photos in some places that i really liked
I didn't take photos of rubbish because I didn't want to do that
i was there for holiday and family
but the thing was is that
I will show you of these two photos I took this first one was of a river
so in this photo we took it of the city but as you could see where the rocks are
rubbish hanging off the actual rocks normally in a photo like this you can see
leaves or brussels or
branches of wood
but this river comes out the city into the village area and as you see on the rocks
its actually covered in rubbish which is really really sad
the second one
is of a
location again just out of Kathmandu, about a
ten minute ride on a motorbike
as you see
to the front
there is the cows
on a grass soccer court
to right, you can see that
orange clay
bridge looking thing which is the entry and exit point of the area
right from the shot of this on the ground
is all this rubbish
it just rained
and still through the rain
it was just like laying there
and this is just a small taste of what's
pretty much everywhere around the city
So I thought
even though i manage
a company called Koala Box
its
it's good to know that
this business that we run actually helps
and eliminating this
in Australia anyway, because thats where we are
so hopefully
people will understand that
cardboard is
yes we had a really good management system in dealing with waste in Australia, but
hopefully they will see that cardboard isn't as really as good as
as it could be because i know that cardboard is great for the time that you use it
if you like it
but then after it is finishing being used its not really that good and
Especially to the environment, even still you do go to Nepal, great country absolutely love it
if you love traffic
well the chaos of traffic
weaving in and out traffic on a
two wheeler or car
then your gonna love it there it's a great place on top of the world
highest city in the world i think being that its right at the bottom
Mount Everest
and also something i didn't know and was that Nepal has
the second largest amount of water flowing through there
from the Himalayas down
so Awesome
i hope you enjoyed the film
Its the first one I ever made
and i hope that
the ones in the future will get better
