Hello, Grizzlies! My name is Alexis Iffert.
I am the Director of Student Integrity.
If you're lucky you'll never actually have to meet with me in person. Let me explain.
The Office of Student Integrity is responsible for managing the
GGC Student Code of Conduct.
The Student Code of Conduct is a set of rules and regulations that all GGC students are
expected to know and abide by. My office receives reports whenever a student violates
of these rules and regulations
After such a report is received, the involved student is required to meet with a member
of our office to discuss the situation.
The student has the right to be heard and explain his or her side of what happened.
If a student is found responsible for the violation,
The Office of Student Integrity will determine what his or her sanctions would be. Possible sanctions
include but are not limited to expulsion, suspension, conduct probation,
removal from housing, restricted privileges, and other educational sanctions.
So like I said the before, hopefully you won't ever be required to meet with me in
person. But all kidding aside, our office staff is more than happy to meet with
you and offer our assistance in any way possible
to help make your college experience a success. Our door is always open should you need us.
We want you to be safe and have a fun, productive time here at GGC. As campus
safety and security is a shared responsibility,
please be sure to report any student violations that you witness. Now that you are in
college, you will quickly
realize that you have a lot more freedom than ever before. Use it wisely. It is up
to you to review the student handbook and familiarize yourself with the rules and
policies within.
Read the Student Code of Conduct.
Nobody is going to force you to do so, but you will be held accountable for
knowing an abiding by all GGC rules and policies.
Contact my office with any questions, and best of luck.
