How to publish news/posts. Click news/posts from the content types menu. Click "add news/post".
Enter your content within the various fields on this page. For name, use a short name that
describes the news item. This is for internal use. In this case, we'll enter "Faculty John
James". For title, this is the actual title of the post. This information shows up on
the public site. In this case, we'll enter "Professor John James joins Luther College
faculty". Author field. This is where you can enter who created this web content. In
this case, we'll enter John Smith. Date. Enter date and time the article was published. Description
is a very brief description of your post, sometimes referred to as a "teaser", used
to entice readers to view the full content of your post. Here we'll enter "Professor
John James joins Luther College faculty and brings significant experience in International
Business". Content. Next, enter the full text of your post. Keywords. This is currently
not a required field and will soon be removed from the Reason admin so we will leave this
field blank in this instance. Status. Choose "published" to make the post appear on your
site, or "pending" it means the post won't appear on your site until you change status
to "published". We'll choose published in this instance. Allow comments. "Yes" to allow
comments or "no" not to allow comments on the site. The blog publication on which the
post appears must also have comments enabled in order for comments to work. In this instance,
we will choose "no". Under the heading "Publications", check all blog publications where you would
like this post to appear. If the no box is checked, your post will not appear on your
site. We'll choose "news" in this instance. Click "save and continue editing" or "save
and finish".
